CHALLENGE YOURSELF!

Through Project Base8000, we hope to inspire you to go trekking, get out into the mountains or even to create your own adventure project.

Try something new

Try something or go somewhere new. Challenge yourself and see what you’re capable of! You could even create your own adventure project like we did. Adventures can be life-changing experiences, especially in the outdoors.

Explore the real world

We promote trekking to new adventure seekers and seasoned trekkers of any age. We believe trekking is a great way to challenge yourself, to escape from modern busy life and to gain new perspectives. Trekking is more than just the trek itself. The adventure starts from the very first spark of an idea, to the planning and preparation, the experience itself and the memories that last for months and years afterwards.

Starting out as adventurous trekkers from Sydney, Australia, we are two ordinary people doing extraordinary things (you can read more about us here). We hope to inspire people of all ages to get out from behind their technology, follow in our footsteps and explore the real world.

Push your boundaries

We’ve learnt through experience that trekking is 80% mental and 20% physical. That goes for many other types of challenges too. Building mental toughness provides the resilience to deal with adversity – not just in expeditions but also in life.

Trekking expeditions give people the opportunity to push their boundaries and see what they’re capable of. Digging deep to find the courage to face a challenge can result in rewarding experiences, new insights and self-discovery.

Adventures allow you to grow and the mountains always have something to teach you, as well as kicking you in the butt when you least expect it!
